Digital Health Age
In 2008, a product called FitBit was launched at TechCrunch 50. Kate Greene, writing in Technology Review opened an article on FitBit by proclaiming The simple pedometer has been given a makeover.
In just the few years since that product launched, tech firms have battled to see what other simple devices may be eligible for a makeover. During the same period, the prospect of aging populations has seen the healthcare sector seek out treatments that reduce the strain on hospitals and surgeries.
The collision of those two trends has created a vacancy in industry – which is now being filled under the umbrella digital health.
Digital Health Age is the community for healthcare professionals, fitness workers and tech enthusiasts to follow these disruptive healthcare technologies as and when they appear.
